If you have never come across Stephen Schwarzman, you’ll want to pay full attention. A year ago Stephen was named as the 53rd wealthiest in America published by Forbes Magazine, still it is his patronage of the liberal arts and education and his spectacular business success that make him such a magnetic man. The Blackstone Group financial giant is a great role model and his life demonstrates that success may be attained through working hard and being really dedicated to your career. The Blackstone Group was initially founded by Stephen A. Schwarzman and Peter Peterson as a firm offering up premium financial advice and equity management. The firm has since developed quickly and these days is a giant in M&A. Living for most of his formative years in near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Stephen attended school in the Abingdon school district. Then he went on to graduate from Yale University in 1969. He went on to further his training at the notable Harvard Business School, getting his Master’s degree in Business Administration in 1972. After concluding his higher education, Stephen commenced a job at Lehman Brothers. By the age of thirty-one, he had already been appointed a director.

Not only does Stephen offer his time to a variety of not for profit organizations, but additionally he has also been a part-time professor at Yale. Moreover, he is the 5th Chairman to the Board of Trustees of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Manhattan. Additionally, Stephen just last March gifted to the New York Public Library $100,000,000 to sponsor their recent expansion project. Stephen is also one of the trustees of the library. Stephen is a role model to successful Americans — he was named amongst Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World in recognition of his accomplishments and influence on the financial sector. His meteoric rise in the financial sector is nothing short of stunning, and coupled with his willingness to give to the community through his unstinting donations to the liberal arts and education projects encourages those who are inspired by him.

Considering his knowledge, experience, and dedication, it seems like there isn’t anything he cannot achieve. In summary, Stephen has taken the best advantage of each opportunity which came his way, however, in return he has in the same stride made exemplary use of his influence to give his best to bolster his community.
