Bodog Mac Platform

Posted on Tuesday 8 December 2009

Mac’s are becoming the industry standard in terms of the personal computer. Video editing, web design, and entertainment all fall under their recent dominance. When it comes to online poker, however, not all sites operate on Mac operating systems.

PokerStars and Full Tilt work on both Mac’s and PC, but if you have an older version of Mac, it might not be supported.

Almost all of the smaller sites only work on PC.

What I recently found out, when my PC laptop cable stopped working, was that Bodog has created a Flash program so that Mac users can play through their web browser; Instant Play Flash Poker.

As long as you have java, Mac users can play Cash games on Bodog. One of the problems, however, is that it is very limited. You can only play one cash table at a time, so multi-tabling cash is out of the question.

Also, tournament poker, whether it be Multi-table-tournaments or Sit and Go’s, are not supported through this program.

So, while it is not at all equal to the play offered on Bodog’s PC download, it is very neat that I could log on from any computer without having to download any software and jump into a cash game. Hopefully they will expand the options on this platform and mac users will have more capability on Bodog. Then you can enhance your skill for live poker at the casino.
